My Approach to Equine Therapy
My approach to working with horses has developed through years of study, hands-on experience, and a deep respect for the horse’s body and nervous system.
While many people know me through my background in equine chiropractic, my sessions integrate a range of therapeutic approaches to support each horse more completely.
My training includes:
• Equine Chiropractic
• Remedial Soft Tissue Therapy
• Fascial Release Techniques
• Rehabilitation Support
• Physio / Kinesiology Taping
• SureFoot Pads for balance, proprioception, and nervous system regulation
Rather than applying a single technique, I work with the individual horse in front of me, combining approaches based on what their body is communicating.
Horses often develop layers of compensation across muscles, fascia, posture, and the nervous system. These patterns can build over time due to training, injury, workload, or even subtle imbalances that go unnoticed.
By addressing these layers, sessions can help release tension, restore balance, and improve overall comfort and movement.
Who I Work With
I work with a wide range of horses, including:
• Performance horses
• Pleasure and trail horses
• Young horses in development
• Senior horses
• Horses recovering from injury or strain
Whether the goal is improving performance, supporting recovery, or simply helping a horse feel more comfortable in their body, each session is tailored to the individual.
Why This Work Matters
Horses are incredibly honest. They don’t hide discomfort — they adapt to it.
Over time, those adaptations can show up as stiffness, resistance, behavioural changes, or reduced performance. My role is to help uncover what the body is compensating for and support the horse in returning to a more balanced, functional state.
Every horse tells a story through their body.
My job is to listen, interpret, and help guide them back toward comfort, balance, and ease of movement.
A Life Centered Around Horses
Every aspect of Ali’s life is centered around horses, both professionally and personally.
When she is not working with clients, she is often spending time with her own horses, continuing to learn, observe, and deepen her understanding of equine movement and behaviour.
Because in this work, experience is not just built in sessions. It is built over a lifetime.
